2013 Fall Series To Be Announced!
Marathon and Half Marathon
Long Run Training Series
"You don't need to be fast! What you do need is will: the will to abide by a training program. The will to get up a couple hours earlier on Saturday or Sunday morning to get your long run in. The will to structure your life a bit more over the next few months: to get more sleep, drink more fluids, eat more carefully."
- John Hanc - The Essential Marathoner
The training runs described below have options for half marathon training with about 50% of the marathon training distance. All runners of all experience levels and speed are welcome.
RUNS ARE FREE OF CHARGE AND OPEN TO ANYONE. MANY OF THESE RUNS FOLLOW THE CMM COURSE ON PUBLIC ROADS THAT ARE NOT CLOSED TO TRAFFIC FOR THE TRAINING RUN. FOR YOUR SAFETY, RUN FACING TRAFFIC, USE SIDEWALKS WHEN APPROPRIATE, FOLLOW TRAFFIC RULES, AND USE COMMON SENSE.
Good luck to all running St. Jude Country Music Marathon, Half Marathon and various other marathons in the upcoming weeks!
